Frequently Asked Questions
What type of makeup do you use?
I use a wide variety of products from different mainstream lines, primarily Lancome and MAC. I do not endorse any one line, which allows me to be creative!
How long does the makeup last?
The foundation I like to use is 14 hour wear, transfer resistant and oil free, so it's good for all skin types. Foundation primer and concealers also help make the makeup last exceptionally well.
What days of the week can I book with you?
I am available for travel to your location Monday through Saturday. Sunday is our family day to all be together, so I do not work on Sundays.
Can I book my makeup trial run date to coordinate with my bridal portrait session?
Yes, absolutely. Please remember that Charleston is second in the nation for destination weddings, and dates go fast. Your photographer, hair stylist and makeup artist all need to have the portrait date available, so the sooner you can secure appointments with everyone, the better. I am available for weekday trial runs, and can sometimes work appointments in around Saturday weddings.
Which comes first, makeup or hair styling?
I am totally flexible. Generally speaking, most brides express a desire for their makeup to be last. We will work around hair appointments and determine what is best for each individual's schedule.
How much time should I set aside for makeup?
During the trial run, we spend an hour and a half together to choose colors and make final decisions. On the wedding day, bridal makeup is 45 minutes. Each additional person is 35-40 minutes.
Is there a minimum number of people required to book my wedding date?
Yes, there is a minimum number of three required to book the date (bride plus 2).
What are your rates?
Please contact me using the form provided on the contact page, and I will be happy to check availability and send you a quote.
Do you travel outside of Charleston?
Yes, I am available for travel and frequently go to places such as Kiawah and Seabrook Islands.
How do I secure my event date with you?
Once determined that your date is available, I will send you a service agreement contract. You will have 10 days to look it over and return it with your initial payment, which will cover both your trial run and deposit to secure your event date.
